Am I an M7 candidate? What admissions sees in your MBA profile that you can’t
Most candidates targeting the M7 have asked some version of this question, usually to a colleague, a forum, or a friend who got in. The answers rarely help, because the person answering reads your profile the same way you do: from the inside, with all the context the committee will never have.
Some candidates judge their own profile through their numbers and assume a strong GMAT settles the question. Others fixate on one weak point, a GPA or a short tenure, and stop seeing what the rest of the profile already says about them. And plenty head into round 2 still waiting for someone to confirm they have a real shot before they let themselves fully commit to the application.
This session is designed for round 2 candidates targeting M7 and top 15 programs who want an honest read on where they stand before investing months in the application.
During the session, we will discuss:
- What an admissions committee notices first in a profile, and why it is rarely what the candidate expects.
- Why the strengths you feel most confident about can read differently from across the table.
- How the question of whether you are competitive changes once your profile is read against a specific school’s class, and why a simple yes or no answer misleads most candidates.
Susan Berishaj, founder of Sia Admissions, will walk through how a committee forms its read of a candidate and where strong candidates most consistently misjudge their own profiles. At the end of the session, she will also open submissions for the October 22 live profile evaluations.
