Yale SOM confirmed its MBA application for the 2026-2027 admissions cycle with its core structure held over from last year: the same 3 essay prompt options (biggest commitment, most meaningful community, most significant challenge) at a 500-word guide, the same 2-question video assessment completed after submission, and the same ETS-administered Behavioral Assessment measuring interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies. Assistant Dean of Admissions Bruce DelMonico addressed the decision directly in a July 2026 post, noting that even as industries and hiring conditions keep shifting, the components Yale relies on to read a candidate have proven durable enough to leave in place.
